Lund based Bioprocess Control moves firmly into China and opens its first office outside of Sweden. Alongside this opening, Bioprocess Control also signs its first partner agreement with a Chinese supplier of biogas plants.
During the first week of October, Bioprocess Control opened its first office in China, located in the Haidian District of Beijing. Two people have been initially hired to work out of this office with a focus on technical sales and business development related activities, with intention of adding additional personnel as business activities develop.
- This Representative office will leverage Bioprocess Control’s already strong links to China and help position the company as a leading provider of technologies and services that support the efficient design and operation of biogas processes. China will experience explosive growth in the biogas industry in the coming 15-20 years, and Bioprocess Control will be well positioned to capitalise on this trend by providing a technical solution that all biogas sites can benefit from, commented Kristofer Cook, CEO for Bioprocess Control.
Alongside the opening of this new office, Bioprocess Control also signed its first partner agreement in China with Anyang Lipp Silo Engineering Co. Ltd., currently involved in a joint venture with Lipp Gmbh of Germany to develop biogas plants in China.
- This agreement fits well with Bioprocess Control’s overall strategy to improve the design and potential operating efficiency of new biogas plants by working with leading designers and builders of biogas sites. Anyang Lipp Silo Engineering Co. Ltd. is a company that is aggressively positioning itself to become a leading supplier of biogas plants, and has recognised the complementary value and competitive advantage that Bioprocess Control can provide, commented Kristofer Cook, CEO for Bioprocess Control.
