Bioprocess Control today announced the appointment of Patrik Andersson as its new CEO. With multiple years experience in a management role, Patrik will lead Bioprocess Control as it enters a new phase in the company’s development.
Bioprocess Control AB, based in Lund (Sweden), is an innovation-driven company with a strong portfolio of products that significantly improve both the design and operation of biogas plants. Winner of the 2007 Swedish clean tech innovation competition Miljöinnovation, and numerous national and international competitions since then, Bioprocess Control has become a global leader in providing advanced control technologies and instruments for the commercial biogas industry, with customers in over 25 countries.
The appointment of Patrik Andersson follows the mutually agreed departure of Kristofer Cook, former CEO and Co-Founder of Bioprocess Control. After stepping down as CEO, Kristofer Cook will continue to work at Bioprocess Control on a part-time basis, while spending remainder of his time with a new start-up project.
Patrik Andersson will officially take the helm of Bioprocess Control on the 18th of April, after spending the past two years as Incubator Manager of Ideon Innovation in Lund Sweden, one of Sweden’s leading incubators for start-up companies. Prior to that, Patrik spent nine years of his career in the Sapa Group, the world´s largest aluminum extruder, working in different management positions in Sweden, USA and Germany. Patrik also holds an MBA from Warwick Business School in the UK. Patrik Andersson will lead Bioprocess Control as it enters a new phase in the company’s development. After the global success of the AMPTS I technology and recent launch of the AMPTS II, Bioprocess control has successfully navigated the transition from being a development company to a commercial enterprise with a strong pipeline of R&D products.
